Trumpets aus LICHT

The Trumpets aus LICHT is an international ensemble of players from all across Europe and the US.

The Trumpets aus LICHT began as colleagues in the “Masters aus LICHT” program of the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag studying under Marco Blaauw. The quintet is made up of Chloë Abbott (UK), Jerome Burns (USA), Christopher Collings (DE), Valentin François (FR), and Elisabeth Lusche (USA). The members of the Trumpets aus LICHT were the featured soloists of the 2019 aus LICHT production of the Dutch National Opera and Holland Festival, as well as core ensemble members of “DONNERSTAGs GRUSS,” “MICHAELs REISE um die ERDE,” “DONNERSTAGs ABSCHIED,” “LUZIFERs TANZ,” and “INVASION-EXPLOSION.” The Trumpets aus LICHT specialize in everything from natural and baroque trumpet to the performance of contemporary and recently-composed works. Together they have played several premieres across the Netherlands, for the opening of the 2019 Stockhausen Courses Kürten, at the Darmstadt Summer Course 2018, and as featured artists for Klangspuren Festival Schwaz 2018.
